How we make money
The short version is the disclosure you'll see next to every quote button on this site:
This page groups businesses by trade, tile, plumbing and glass, but only one thing here leads to an actual quote request: the Get Quotes button. Click it and an outside matching partner takes over, not the specific business on the card you were looking at. That partner pays us when your request turns into work they can act on; no business pays us anything for its card, whether that card comes from a license record or a Google rating. In most cities, every card reflects a public license record; in a city with no license record for this trade, the card instead reflects a business's own rating and review count on Google Maps. Either way, the business that ends up calling you may not be the exact name your card showed.
The only money that reaches us comes from a matching partner, and only for a Get Quotes request that turns into a lead worth working. Tile setters, plumbers and glass installers listed here pay nothing, whether for a card, a category, or a top spot within their trade group.
Trade grouping organizes a license page for you; a top-rated page runs one ranked list instead, ordered by combined rating and review count. Neither version is a service anyone paid for, and no card is positioned by anything other than its license record or, on a top-rated page, that combined score.
The quote button
Pages with listings also carry a quote button. It opens a quote request run by our matching partners, not by the businesses listed on the page. When you ask for quotes through it, a partner may pay us. That is how we pay for running this site.
The partner decides which companies to match you with, so the companies that contact you may not be the ones listed on the page you came from. Before you hire anyone, check their license the same way you would check a listed business.
What it costs you
Using Shower Replacement Pros costs homeowners nothing. You don't pay us for listings, lookups or quote requests.
What money doesn't change
- Listings come from state license records or, on top-rated lists, from Google Maps ratings. No business pays to be listed, to be left off, or for its position.
- License listings are sorted alphabetically. Top-rated lists are ranked only by Google rating and review count.
- There are no paid placements today. If we add any, they will be marked Sponsored.
- Verify license links go only to the state's license registry, never to a partner.
How to tell the links apart
Quote buttons always sit in a box with the disclosure above, and they are marked as sponsored links in the page code (rel="sponsored"). Every other outbound link on the site goes to an official license record, a business's Google Maps listing, or a source we cite.
