9 Top-Rated Shower Replacement Pros Near Athens
This site usually splits shower replacement pros into tile, plumbing and glass; Athens doesn't have the license data to do that yet, so this page works from Google instead. The 9 businesses below sit in one ranked list rather than our usual trade split, ordered by combining their star rating with review count. A high rating tells you what past customers thought, nothing about which license, if any, a business holds.

What Athens's housing stock means for shower replacement
Homes in Athens were built in 1989, on the median.
38% of Athens homes went up before 1980, before several of today's plumbing and glazing codes existed.
A shower replacement in one of Athens's older homes is a reasonable time to bring the valve and glass up to current code, even if only the surround looked like it needed work.
Google's top-rated shower replacement businesses for Athens, AL
One ranked list here instead of the usual tile, plumbing and glass split, ordered by a score that combines star rating and review count. That combined score says nothing about licensing, so ask any business which license, if any, covers its part of the job.

Questions for each trade
- Tile: who waterproofs the wall before new tile goes up, and what product do they use?
- Tile: does the quote include removing the old surround, or does that happen separately?
- Plumbing: is the new valve pressure-balance or thermostatic, and what brand and model?
- Plumbing: does the drain stay in its current spot, or is it moving?
- Glass: framed or frameless, and is the glass tempered to meet the safety-glazing rule for wet locations?
- Glass: what's the lead time on ordering, since custom glass is often the longest-lead item on the job?
- All trades: who is the single point of contact if something needs to be redone?
